The International Rose & Wine Festival 2025

The days of wine and roses are here again for the International Rose & Wine Festival 2025 May 8th -11th. This festival has expanded its reach from a one-day, 4-hour event to a full weekend of experiences that focus on the value of shared experiences, the beauty of roses, and the pleasure of wine.

Roses and Wine have a historic relationship to each other which starts in the old vineyards of France. Rose bushes are grown on the ends of each row of vines, making the landscapes especially beautiful when they’re in bloom.

Interestingly, these roses had a more practical purpose before technological leaps in growing wine. Roses are sensitive plants, quickly affected by any mildew, pests, and disease. They served as early warning alarms of anything that might negatively affect a crop.

Furthering this practicality, they were planted along the perimeter of the vineyard so their thorns could signal to livestock how wide to turn on a row to not trample the vines. Today, the tradition is kept alive even if the uses are no longer necessary, the beauty of roses framing a vineyard, makes it an even more beautiful sight to see.

The Social Circle of Louisiana celebrates these old friends who, together, often symbolize romance, happiness, and prosperity with this annual festival for the fifth consecutive year. The Grand Tasting is the central event, fittingly hosted at the American Rose Garden, guests will have the opportunity to try wines from around the world and learn about the wines and select spirits.

The Grand Tasting boasts a musical line-up of local and national R&B talent and DJs that are known as Louisiana favorites. For the gastronomes, a variety of food vendors are available to feast well into the evening. The Sip & Shop area hosts a variety of local purveyors of art, jewelry, clothing, health & beauty products, and more. In addition to the central event, there are now a collection of events throughout the weekend. So far, two that have been announced include Taste of the Fest - which allows guests an opportunity to network with industry professionals and get a sneak peek at cocktails crafted by partnering brands; and Stems & Sips, a bouquet bar event with bottomless mimosas and music.

For the third consecutive year, The Social Circle of Louisiana is proud to recognize  AT&T as the Title Sponsor of this event. SWEPCO, Carter Federal Credit Union, 99.7 KMJJ, Captain Morgan Rum, Don Julio Tequila, Crown Royal Canadian Whisky, and Ketel One Vodka are additional valued sponsors of the International Rose & Wine Festival 2025.

This year, The Social Circle of Louisiana has partnered with Festivals for Good Corporation which helps support small businesses through contracting and vending opportunities and donates to organizations that benefit the communities they serve.
