SHREVEPORT, LA – The scent of roses and the swirl of a fine vintage return this spring as The Social Circle of Louisiana presents the International Rose & Wine Festival 2025. With this year’s theme—Wine. Roses. Wonder.—the beloved festival blooms into a full weekend of unforgettable experiences, all rooted in beauty, culture, and connection.

“We are proud to be a platform that amplifies local voices, supports small businesses, and creates opportunities for meaningful engagement,” says Sylvester Marshall, Executive Director of The Social Circle of Louisiana. “The International Rose & Wine Festival is one of our signature ways of doing that.”

Now in its fifth year, the festival pays homage to the historic relationship between roses and wine. In the old vineyards of France, rose bushes were traditionally planted at the ends of vine rows for both beauty and function. Their sensitivity served as early warning systems for pests and disease, and their thorns signaled to livestock where not to tread. Though no longer needed for these practical purposes, the tradition lives on, offering a timeless aesthetic that continues to inspire.

The International Rose & Wine Festival celebrates these botanical and cultural companions with a carefully curated weekend of events, anchored by its signature gathering:
